Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are reportedly at the center of a new disagreement between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Following reports that the children recently reunited with King Charles for the first time since they were infants, questions are now being raised about their future and where they will receive their education.
According to Closer, Harry remains open to the idea of Archie and Lilibet attending school in the UK. The Duke of Sussex reportedly believes a British education would help his children develop a closer relationship with their royal relatives and better understand that part of their heritage.
“Harry can’t rule out a British education,” a source told the publication. “He wants his children to have a meaningful connection with that side of their family.”
The insider claimed Harry would prefer the children to attend a mixed school and has even considered a day-pupil arrangement, allowing them to return home instead of living at a boarding school.
However, the disagreement is reportedly about more than education.
“Education is just the symptom,” the source explained. “The bigger issue is deciding where home actually is.”
Friends of the Sussexes are said to be concerned that the couple could reach a “complete stalemate” if neither is willing to reconsider their position.
“If neither of them is prepared to compromise, the consequences for their relationship could be significant,” the insider warned.
