Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘working on agreement’ to protect their marriage

Prince Harry reportedly hopes for a compromise that would allow him to spend more time in the UK

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly trying to reach an agreement over the duke’s growing desire to spend more time in Britain.

Sources told Closer that the issue has created tension between the couple as Harry continues trying to rebuild his relationship with King Charles and other members of the royal family.

While Harry is said to be considering a more regular return to the UK, Meghan reportedly has no intention of leaving the life she has established with Archie and Lilibet in California.

“Harry dreams of a compromise where he can come back to the UK more often, potentially as a part-time working royal again,” an insider claimed. “He’d love Meghan to join him, but there’s no way she’d move back, even part-time. She feels there’s too much open hostility towards her.”

The couple are now said to be working on an arrangement that would allow Meghan to accompany Harry on selected visits without committing to a permanent or part-time move.

“She’s very independent, so she’s leaving it up to Harry to navigate it,” the source added. “But the feeling is it’s very much a make-or-break situation.”

According to the report, Harry and Meghan hope to find a solution that respects his connection to Britain while allowing their family to maintain its home in California.

The latest claims emerged a month after reports that the Sussexes and their children had reunited with King Charles in Britain. The monarch has also reportedly invited the family to spend part of the summer at Balmoral.
