Prince William could inherit a difficult family situation when he eventually becomes king, according to royal commentator Robert Jobson.
Speaking on Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered, Jobson claimed that King Charles may leave his eldest son to deal with the continuing tensions surrounding Prince Harry, who previously described William as his “arch-nemesis.”
“Charles will be leaving William with a problem,” Jobson said. While stressing that he was not comparing Harry’s actions with those of Prince Andrew, the expert suggested the situation could resemble the challenge Queen Elizabeth left Charles to manage.
“A huge problem,” he added. “And I don’t think that’s fair to William.”
Jobson went on to describe Harry as “a bit of a chancer,” claiming that the Duke of Sussex wants to protect his ability to earn money. He also questioned whether discussions had taken place over the cost of Harry’s legal battles.
The commentator argued that Harry, who lives in Montecito with Meghan Markle and their children, continues to “dip in and dip out” of royal life whenever it suits him.
He also noted that Harry has reportedly met King Charles only three times in recent years, while continuing to publicly criticize the institution and aspects of life in Britain.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for Prince Harry have responded publicly to Jobson’s remarks.
