Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly considering another major interview following their recent visit to the UK, but a reunion with Oprah Winfrey appears unlikely.
According to a media insider who spoke to Naughty But Nice, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would be open to doing a follow-up to their widely discussed 2021 interview.
“Harry and Meghan would love a Part Two,” the source claimed.
The insider said the couple have been discussing interviews again as they both have new projects to promote and understand how much media attention a high-profile television appearance can attract.
“They both have projects to promote, and they know interviews generate headlines,” the source said, adding that Harry and Meghan reportedly hoped Oprah might be interested in exploring a new chapter focused on reconciliation and healing.
However, the television host is said to have little interest in revisiting the royal controversy.
A second source explained that Oprah faced considerable criticism following the original interview and does not believe she would benefit from becoming involved again.
“Oprah took plenty of criticism after the first special,” the insider said. “She has absolutely nothing to gain by stepping back into the royal drama. As far as she’s concerned, that story has been told.”
The source added that Oprah would prefer not to become part of the couple’s promotional plans.
“If Harry wants to promote Invictus or Meghan wants to plug her jams, that’s their business,” the insider claimed. “Oprah doesn’t want to become part of their publicity strategy.”
The report comes shortly after Oprah reflected on the original Sussex interview during a conversation with Vanity Fair.
