Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly experiencing strain in their marriage amid claims they hold different views about a possible return to Britain.
According to a report from Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice, Meghan is said to be reluctant to return to the UK, while Harry is reportedly finding it difficult to adjust to life in California.
An unnamed source claimed that Harry's plans to visit Britain may be about more than simply seeing his family. The insider alleged that the Duke of Sussex has grown unhappy with the life he and Meghan have built in Montecito.
“Meghan did not want to return and remained deeply uncomfortable with the idea,” the source claimed. “Harry, however, is miserable in California and increasingly unhappy with the life they have built in Montecito.”
The source further alleged that the reported unhappiness has created tension between the couple, claiming they are not currently in a good place.
“Harry is deeply unhappy, and Meghan knows she cannot keep asking him to live a life that is making him miserable,” the insider said.
The report also claimed that Meghan’s position is not necessarily about what she wants, but what she believes is needed for Harry.
Neither Harry nor Meghan has publicly commented on the claims. The couple moved to California in 2020 after stepping back as senior working members of the royal family.
