Prince Harry appeared less comfortable than Meghan Markle as the couple posed together during a recent charity event in Canada, according to a body-language expert.
While Meghan openly displayed affection for her husband, Harry seemed more focused on maintaining a professional appearance in front of the cameras.
Speaking to The Express, royal expert Jennie Bond described Meghan’s pose as a deliberate show of closeness.
“Meghan uses a togetherness pose with Harry to register ongoing affection here, pressing into his torso and placing one hand onto his chest in a gesture of ownership,” she said.
Bond added that Meghan looked directly at the camera with a wide smile, creating what she called a celebrity-style “my man” pose.
Harry, however, appeared to respond with noticeably less enthusiasm. According to the expert, his firm expression, closed lips and light placement of his fingers on Meghan’s back suggested a more restrained approach.
“Harry’s hard stare into the camera, his closed lips and the very light placement of his fingers on her back make him look less reciprocal and more subtle when it comes to emotional boasting,” she explained.
Bond also suggested that Harry appeared determined to present himself well on the red carpet. His careful stance and facial expressions gave the impression that he may have received guidance on how to create a polished pose alongside Meghan.
Although body-language interpretations are subjective, the couple’s contrasting expressions appeared to show different levels of comfort with such a public display of affection.
