Sources told Radar Online that the Duke of Sussex became more optimistic about reconciling with his father following their reported reunion last month. Meghan Markle and the couple’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, were also said to have joined the family gathering in Gloucestershire.
“The reunion last month gave Harry a huge amount of hope that the relationship with his father is finally moving in the right direction after years of distance and disappointment,” an insider claimed.
According to the source, Harry believes both sides now have a genuine chance to rebuild their family ties if they continue making an effort.
The insider added that Charles’s attendance at the Invictus Games would carry deep personal meaning for Harry.
“For Harry, it would be a powerful symbol that they have turned a corner and are prepared to move forward together,” the source said. “He wants his father by his side as part of a full reunion.”
The Games remain one of Harry’s proudest achievements, and the source claimed that seeing his father publicly support the competitors would make the Birmingham event particularly meaningful.
Another insider said members of the royal circle believe Charles would welcome opportunities to improve his relationship with Harry and spend more time with Archie and Lilibet.
