Prince Harry reportedly wants to bring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK so they can learn more about their family history and develop a closer connection to their British roots.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to be preparing to return to Britain with their children, six years after they stepped down as working royals and began a new life in California.
Speaking about the possible family visit, an insider told People magazine, “It’s something Harry has been thinking about for a while.”
Despite living in the United States for several years, Harry reportedly continues to feel a strong emotional attachment to his home country.
“Harry never really stopped missing home. He’s missed that sense of connection and belonging. Britain is still home in many ways,” the source explained.
The insider added that Harry wants Archie and Lilibet to “understand the world he grew up in and where their family comes from.”
Meghan Markle is also said to support the idea, as she believes it would allow their children to experience both sides of their heritage.
“Meghan feels very fortunate that they’re able to give Archie and Lilibet the opportunity to experience both worlds,” the source added.
Harry and Meghan reportedly have no plans to give up their lives in the United States. The couple are expected to remain private citizens and keep their family home in California.
However, spending more time in Britain could give Archie and Lilibet a valuable opportunity to explore their royal heritage and build a stronger relationship with their father’s homeland.
