Kate Middleton has spent years preparing for the day she becomes queen alongside King William, according to a royal expert.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, royal commentator Ian Pelham Turner said the Princess of Wales has been doing more than simply adjusting to life as a senior royal. He believes she has also been preparing for the biggest role of her life.
“Kate has played the long game because she realizes she will one day be queen to a King William,” Turner said.
He explained that this preparation has been extensive and carefully planned.
“There has been a steady build of PR power for Kate,” he said. “It involves wearing the right clothes, manufacturing the right photographs to show a successful queen-in-waiting, as well as a devoted mother.”
Another royal expert has claimed that Kate and Prince William are determined to decide what their future roles will look like.
Royal commentator Christopher Andersen said the Prince and Princess of Wales want to represent change within the monarchy while continuing to respect its history.
“They don't want the monarchy to become so hidebound that it collapses from its own weight,” Andersen said. “At the same time, they respect tradition and history and aren't about to throw the baby out with the bathwater.”
