Meghan Markle is reportedly willing to improve her relationship with Kate Middleton, but she does not plan to beg for a reconciliation.
The claim comes after Meghan reportedly returned to Britain with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to the National Examiner, the Duchess of Sussex is open to moving forward with the Princess of Wales. However, an unnamed source said she will not force the process.
“Ideally, she would like it if they could be on better terms, but not if it means she has to beg,” the insider said. “Meghan isn’t going to grovel to anybody, least of all Kate.”
Meghan reportedly believes Kate could have done more to support her when they were working members of the Royal Family. The source claimed she feels Kate did not defend her against negative rumors.
“If not directly, she certainly didn’t stick up for her,” the insider said.
The report added that Meghan expects Kate to help rebuild the trust between them.
“If anything, she feels like Kate ought to be the one making the effort to earn her trust back,” the source explained.
Meghan is reportedly taking a careful approach as her family settles back into life in Britain. The move may also allow Archie and Lilibet to spend more time with their royal cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
Meghan and Kate have not publicly confirmed the report.
