Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appear to have achieved the lifestyle they wanted after returning to the UK, according to a royal expert.
Speaking to Kinsey Schofield on a recent podcast, royal commentator Katie Nicholl said the couple now enjoy a “half-in, half-out” arrangement.
“They’ve kind of got what they wanted, haven’t they?” she said.
Nicholl noted that Harry and Meghan are living in an impressive home, while their children attend excellent schools. Harry continues to support his charities, and Meghan is returning to acting.
At the same time, the couple can earn money and use their royal titles without carrying out the regular duties expected of working members of the Royal Family.
Nicholl explained that Prince William, Princess Catherine, King Charles, Queen Camilla and Princess Anne still travel around the country to attend official royal events.
She believes this type of arrangement was always part of Harry’s plan.
“I think it was always on Harry’s agenda,” Nicholl said. “And I think he’s ultimately got what he wants.”
