Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly hope to win back public support in Britain through small, low-key charity visits.
According to the report, the couple moved back to the UK in August after spending six years in California.
They recently attended charity events in Nottingham, where crowds welcomed them with cheers, hugs, handshakes and gifts. The warm response is said to have pleased them.
A friend of the couple told the Daily Mail’s editor that Harry and Meghan want to return to public life slowly and with humility.
The friend said their charity work is not meant to upset King Charles or cause problems with the royal family. Instead, they described it as work Harry enjoys and cares deeply about.
The friend added that the couple believe they can help charities gain support and plan to attend more events like the Nottingham visit. They also said people want to see “the old Harry.”
Harry and Meghan are reportedly looking for a new home in the UK.
According to the same friend, a property agent is finding suitable houses and sending details to the couple’s team so they can view them online. The friend believes the search may soon move forward more quickly.
