Prince William and Kate Middleton have faced criticism on social media over box office predictions for Tom Cruise’s film Digger.
The couple attended the film’s royal premiere with Cruise earlier this month. Actor Sandra Hüller said the project followed nearly 10 years of work by Oscar-winning director Alejandro G. Iñárritu.
According to the report, some supporters of Meghan Markle mocked William and Kate after the film began its worldwide rollout on September 30.
One user on X claimed the couple were “bad for business” and brought “misfortune” to projects they supported.

Digger was scheduled to open in cinemas in the United States and the United Kingdom on October 2.
