Past comments may be making it harder for the brothers to repair their relationship.
Prince William may not be ready to rebuild his relationship with Prince Harry because of what has happened between them, according to royal expert Hugo Vickers.
William has largely stayed silent while Harry has publicly spoken about wanting to reconcile.
Vickers said family disagreements are usually better handled in private. He suggested that Harry’s public appeals could make the situation more difficult.
He also said there were reports that Harry and King Charles had spoken by phone, although they had not met since Harry’s return. Vickers viewed the possible calls as a positive sign.
However, he believes William has several reasons to remain distant.
Vickers pointed to Harry’s memoir and interviews, including comments about William’s wife, Catherine, that he described as insulting. He said the brothers’ relationship was badly damaged.
GB News presenter Alex Armstrong suggested that Harry should avoid public comments about the family and focus on charity work if he wants to repair their relationship.
Meanwhile, on the Daily Expresso podcast, presenter JJ Anisiobi referred to unnamed sources who claimed William was no longer angry with Harry but instead felt little interest in their relationship.
Anisiobi questioned whether Harry should stop answering questions about the Royal Family if William remains unwilling to reconcile.
