Security source explains risks facing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children

A security source says Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet face security risks because their parents are famous, rather than simply because people might see their faces.

Speaking to royal commentator Rob Shuter, the source explained that protecting children’s privacy is different from keeping them safe.

The source said photos could make the children easier to recognize. However, their connection to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle already creates security concerns.

The comments came after reports that photographers were seen near the children’s British school. Harry and Meghan’s spokesperson called the photographers’ behavior “extraordinarily reckless.”

Shuter agreed, saying that photographers gathering around a school attended by young children could invade their privacy and put them at risk.

He also suggested that sharing photos that partly hide the children’s faces could attract more attention from photographers.

A photo-industry source told Shuter’s Naughty But Nice that rare photos can be more valuable. This could encourage photographers to try harder to get clear pictures.

Shuter said Harry and Meghan have every right to protect their children’s privacy. The public has no right to see pictures of them.

The security source added that knowing a child’s school, home address, or daily routine poses a much greater risk than simply knowing what they look like.
