Sarah Ferguson once spoke about her hopes for her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
In a 1996 interview with CTV, reported by Hello! magazine, Sarah said she had learned a lot from her own mistakes. She wanted her daughters to feel comfortable being themselves and speaking honestly.
She recalled buying Eugenie a pair of shoes that her daughter did not like. Sarah stopped what she was doing and sat down with her to talk.
“I just want you to understand, I don't want you to go through the same mistakes mommy's made at 37,” she recalled telling her daughter. “I want you to learn now at 6.”
Separately, the Daily Mail reported that Sarah attended a memorial service for her former boyfriend, motor-racing businessman Paddy McNally, in Knightsbridge on Thursday.
According to the report, it was her first public appearance in the UK with her daughters following the Epstein scandal.
Beatrice and Eugenie joined her at the service. Their husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank, also attended.
