Prince William reportedly has a simple message for Prince Harry behind the scenes: “Just shut up.”
A source with insight into Prince William’s anger has revealed what the heir reportedly wants from Harry if there is to be any chance of reconciliation.
According to Closer Online, William’s latest frustration stems from his brother’s alleged remark to GQ about some people “not wanting” to repair their relationship.
A well-placed source said William “wishes Harry would shut up, especially if he really does harbour a desire to patch things up with the family further down the line.”
The source added, “For William, it feels as though Harry is going out of his way to cause trouble and embarrass the family, while continuing to point fingers at everyone other than himself.”
Kate reportedly feels similarly, although her response is less “reactive.”
“She wants to believe Harry’s coming from a place of vulnerability,” the insider said, adding that “this is his way of openly begging for a pathway towards peace, while still trying to hold his head up high and defend himself. But she’s still bitterly disappointed and frustrated that he’s going about things so publicly.”
“It’s the total opposite of how the royals conduct themselves and Harry must have known it would enrage the family,” the insider added.
The source concluded that the bigger issue is that “trust simply isn’t there.” Kate would reportedly be “incredibly wary” of anything she said being “repeated or twisted.”
“She doesn’t feel she can trust either of them with a private conversation,” the source said.
